Artist's Comments

Part of a recent collaboration with GandalfStormCrow. We stumbled upon this roadsign in the woods on a photography run and had the idea of placing it in the trees. You can find his photos here... [link]

The idea behind my photos was to juxtapose the ideas of the modern technological world and those of the ancient natural world.

"Our modern day world is just a smaller time entwined in the ages."

I tried to create a surreal look here by using the bright light and a little motion to overemphasise the twisting curves of the tree.

Thanks. These shot took almost an hour of me putting the road sign in the various trees by climbing them, jumping off them, hanging onto things to save breaking my legs, standing on Adam's (GandalfStormCrow) shoulders and all sorts of rediculous things.

Please pardon my Cardin garden. It's an averno parde, for the avant garde.

:) Yeah not bad considering I'm terrified of even small heights.

Heehee! Yeah, pain. But it was worth it! Anyways, nice concept, and very bizaare melting looking tree. Very Dali, but with trees, not pocket watches. Great shot, and the motion works very well.

Ooh. I like the idea that I have a Dali-esque style to some of my photos. Yeah it was definatly worth it.

The clock of life is wound but once
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour.
Now is the only time you own
Live, love, toil with a will.
Place no faith in time.

Thanks. Oh yes I braved those great heights, I'm a regular British adventurer don't you know? :) Well not really but at least I can make people dizzy. Thanks for the favourite.
